Project Better is one of the first UK-based nootropic stacks that I personally tried and reviewed. This supplement is using a lot of popular nootropics, but is the dosage high enough to feel the benefits? 

Project Better delivers a smooth energy boost and slightly increased alertness

It is fairly affordable

Project Better is seriously underdosed (except for caffeine + guarana + L-theanine)

Some ingredients could be better

It is hard to say it will deliver any long-term brain support



1. Project Better – Does it work?  

I’ll be very straightforward with you: YES and NO.

Let me explain.

When it comes to food supplements and nootropics, I’m a big fan of USA-based companies.

Their regulations seem to be quite favorable towards food supplements, which is not really true for the EU (and probably the UK as well).

There is always some risk that comes with high-dosages of ingredients, but if you do your homework, you shouldn’t worry about it.

Project Better is an UK-based supplement company which developed a pretty interesting nootropic stack for peak performance.

The supplement is using 19 ingredients, it has a clean & simple design, and it does give a feeling of a premium product.

Before digging deep into the ingredients, I thought this might be a great solution for the UK & EU based high achievers.

However, when I started researching the used ingredients and their dosages, I was slightly negatively surprised – Project Better is, based on my personal research, underdosed.

Since there is little research done on some ingredients, and since we still don’t really understand how all those ingredients work together, I’m still open to change my mind regarding the product. But so far I’m a bit worried you won’t really get many benefits by taking this supplement.

If you decide to try this supplement, there is one thing you should definitely notice: increased focus & energy. 

Here is the thing – Project Better contains a decent amount of caffeine + L-theanine + Guarana. And this combo is great for increasing your energy level and improving mood without jittery.

It always works and there is no way to deny it.

So if your main goal is taking a nootropic supplement for increasing your energy with a small chance of having other benefits as well, Project Better could be a good starting point.

But if you are serious about taking nootropics, there are other supplements that are better dosed. Way better.

This omega-3 fatty acid can be found in our brain and eyes. It is essential for human health and good brain function. However, humans can’t produce it, so we have to get it from food and supplements.

Citrus Aurantium Wholefruit, 80 mg

Citrus Aurantium Wholefruit extract will help you fight fatigue.

Caffeine Anhydrous Pure, 50 mg

This ingredient will give you some extra energy when you need it. It will also increase your focus.

L-Tyrosine, 50 mg

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is used in neurotransmitter production. It increases your working memory and therefore makes your cognitive functions better.

L-Theanine, 50 g

It promotes relaxation without making you drowsy. It is a great ingredient that complements caffeine.

Guarana Extract, 50 mg

Guarana Extract helps you raise your level of energy, focus, and endurance since it contains a higher dosage of caffeine.

Choline Bitartrate, 45 mg

Choline Bitartrate is found in egg yolks. It is known for its cognitive boosting properties. It will help you learn and memorize new things faster.

Phosphatidylserine, 20 mg

This amino acid derivative is found in the brain. It lowers your cortisol levels and improves memory, promoting good brain health.

Phosphatidylcholine, 20 mg

It helps improve your cognitive function and brain health.

Ashwagandha Extract, 20 mg

Ashwagandha is a herb, known to decrease stress and anxiety.

L-Phenylalanine, 15mg

It can help you with anxiety and sleeping, but mostly it is meant to boost your mood.

Bacopa Monnieri, 15 mg

This ingredient will improve your memory and also diminish stress and anxiety.

Niacin (Vitamin B3), 7,5 mg

Vitamin B3 supports optimal brain function.

Korean Panax Ginseng, 6 mg

Ginseng’s compounds improve brain health, cognitive functions such as attention focus and memory and fight stress and anxiety

Pantothenic Acid, 4.5 mg

Also known as Vitamin B5, this ingredient will contribute to lowering stress, making you less anxious and fighting fatigue.

Black Pepper Extract, 3,2 mg

Piper Nigrum has many health benefits such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. The most important trait for you is increasing the bioavailability of other nutrients.

Ginkgo Leaf Extract, 3 mg

This ingredient will enhance your memory and concentration.

Vitamin B12, 200 mcg

This vital vitamin helps make DNA, but also keeps the body’s nerve system healthy, since it is used in the production of myelin.

Folic Acid, 100mcg

Contributing to cell growth, this ingredient will help your cells to reproduce and stay healthy.

3. Project Better Suggested Use

The suggested dose is 2 capsules per day.

You can take them at once or spread them out. You also don’t need to worry about taking them with food, since it is safe consuming the pills with or without it.

To get the real benefits of this stack, you would probably have to take between 4-6 capsules, but this would mean taking quite a lot of caffeine, which I do not recommend.

It’s hard to give you a better on advice on this stack.

4. Project Better Reviews & Feedbacks

As with many nootropic supplements on the market, feedbacks of users are great and I know why.

With all the caffeine you take with this supplement, your mood will definitely improve. Consequently, you will probably feel more alert and more productive.

Sadly, this doesn’t mean your other cognitive functions improve as well. Basically, you could get the same effect simply by drinking Bulletproof Coffee. 

How much all those nootropics in this stack contribute to a better mood it is hard or almost impossible to say. Based on the research, very little or almost nothing.

But to get a real confirmation of that statement, we’ll have to wait for more studies to be done.

Project Better is not a nootropic stack I’d take on a daily basis. It’s simply underdosed for me.

I would use Project Better only as an energy-boosting product. There is no doubt taking Project Better will increase your energy and improve your mood.

6. My Personal Recommendation

I’ll be honest with you (as always).

As far as I’d like this stack to be an amazing one, I’m just afraid it is underdosed.

Before I actually checked the dosages of all ingredients, I thought this will be an amazing supplement. Once I checked the dosages, meh, I was a bit sad.

Again, this nootropic stack is more than OK if you mainly need it for increasing your energy. All the caffeine in the stack will do the work. Since it is combined with L-theanine, there will be no crash afterward.

However, if you really want to get more out of nootropics, I personally would recommend taking Qualia Mind. I don’t want to promote other products here, but I just want to give you an alternative. Mind Lab Pro is also a much stronger supplement.

Well, that’s my recommendation anyway.

  • How will I feel when I take Project Better?

Most likely more slightly alert and focused.

  • When is the best time for taking Project Better?

Definitely in the morning because it contains caffeine. 

  • Should I expect any side effects?

I haven’t experienced any. Based on my personal experience, there is nothing to worry about.
