In this year alone, over a hundred nootropic supplements have come to the market. Sadly, they are mostly just copycats of one another. But STAQ Performer has a few unique selling points that make it stand out. The question is – does it deliver enough benefits for its high price-point? Check out my review to find it out.

STAQ Performer Review

STAQ Performer is an interesting nootropic supplement with 12 quality nootropics.

It was developed to:

  • Enhance your cognitive performance
  • Improve your memory
  • Make you feel better and boost your energy
  • Improve your long-term performance

It was developed by a company STAQ, which has its HQ in Ireland, but its formula was made in the USA.

STAQ team developed a formula that contains high-quality ingredients, pharmaceutical-grade capsules, and it is fillers-free.

On the other hand, I found quite a few grammatical errors on their homepage, the design is suboptimal, and their customer support has some issues.

The question is: Is STAQ Performer really worth your money?

Let’s check out my experience.

STAQ Performer

My Experience

I first tested STAQ Performed in 2020, and I repeated the test in mid-2021. Sadly, the formula hasn’t changed since my first trial.

Test Week 1: 2 capsules

During the first test week, I was taking 2 capsules of Performer. I first tried them on an empty stomach, but I immediately felt slightly sick.

The formula is very strong, so I don’t recommend taking the capsules on an empty stomach.

After I took the capsules, it took about 30 minutes to feel the effects. After that, I started feeling more focused and energized. My mood quickly changed from the morning (still tired) to the more enthusiastic and creative.

I felt good about taking 2 capsules, but I wanted to see if I can get more from the supplement by taking 3 capsules.

And that’s exactly what I did.

My experience with STAQ

Test Week 2: 3 capsules

During the second week, I increased the dosage to 3 capsules per day. To avoid morning sickness, I took them with breakfast. I didn’t experience the illness anymore.

This supplement definitely boosted my performance, but it didn’t make me anxious. Just the contrary, I felt very focused, and I was able to stay in the flow for 2-3 hours.

The effects were much stronger than those from drinking coffee, and there were no jittery or other side effects.

However, as I found out, it is important to take capsules with or after food to avoid potential sickness.

So, which ingredients make the effects so strong? And which ingredients caused the sickness?

Performer Ingredients

STAQ Performer contains 12 ingredients. Its formula is a mix of high-quality nootropics combined with some crucial vitamins and minerals. Unlike most other brands, they also use pharmaceutical-grade capsules.

It is also the only formula I have ever seen that has zero fillers, which is quite remarkable.

Here is the list of all ingredients in Performer:

  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B9
  • Vitamin B12
  • Lion’s Mane Mushroom
  • Bacopa Monnieri
  • Citicoline as Cognizin
  • L-Theanine
  • Rhodiola Rosea
  • Caffeine
  • Lemon balm
  • Zinc
  • Copper

Lion’s Mane Mushroom (powder extract) – 600 mg

Lion’s Mane is one of the most important and effective nootropics for long-term brain performance. It stimulates NGF (Nerve Growth Factor) in our brain. Besides, it helps with the regeneration and repair of neurons.

Performer contains one of the highest dosages of Lion’s Mane I ever came across.

Bacopa Monnieri – 300 mg

Bacopa Monnieri is an adaptogenic herb that is known for its positive influence on memory enhancement. Multiple studies confirm that Bacopa is one of the must-use nootropics if you want to enhance your memory and slow down your cognitive decline.

300 mg of Bacopa Monnieri is a great dosage.

Citicoline As Cognizin – 270 mg

Citicoline is my favorite choline compound currently available on the market. It is a well-studied nootropic compound that is sold under the brand name Cognizin. Citicoline raises the level of acetylcholine in our brains. This is an important neurotransmitter for memory and learning.

L-Theanine – 200 mg

L-Theanine is an amino acid that makes us relaxed and increases our attention. When combined with caffeine, it enhances the positive effects of caffeine while it minimizes the potential side effects. [*]

200 mg of L-Theanine is an optimal dosage when combined with 100 mg of caffeine.

Caffeine – 100 mg

Caffeine is a stimulant that I used to like in nootropic supplements. However, based on my current research, I prefer to use nootropic supplements without caffeine. This is especially important if I aim to take them for a longer period.

Overall, caffeine is a great energy booster when combined with l-theanine. [*]

Rhodiola Rosea – 120 mg

Rhodiola Rosea is an anxiolytic that people consume due to its anti-anxiety and anti-stress effects. This adaptogen has been used for centuries. Studies show that supplementing it can boost our serotonin levels and be neuroprotective. [*]

Its effects are seen at dosages of 50 mg/day, but it is most potent at dosages of 100 mg and more.

Lemon Balm – 60 mg

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is a nootropic that induces calmness and improves cognition. It also improves memory. I suggest Lemon Balm to people who are often stressed during the day. [*]

It is most potent at dosages of 300 mg and higher. I assume that a low dosage of lemon balm was added to this stack to mitigate the side effects of caffeine and help people get in the focused flow for a longer period.

Other compounds

Performer contains other essential nutrients such as Vitamin B6 (5 mg), Vitamin B9 (200 mcg), and Vitamin B12 (24 mcg,) which play many important roles in our bodies.

A low dosage of Zinc and Copper have probably been added for optimal brain function and the immune system.

Performer Dosage

STAQ recommends supplementing 2-3 capsules per day. They recommend taking the capsules in the morning with food.

Based on my experience, you should be able to feel the short-term effects by supplementing 2 capsules. However, for optimal performance, stick to 3 capsules.

As always, I do recommend cycling the supplement (5 days on, 2 days off).

Keep in mind that the formula is strong, so I do not recommend taking it on an empty stomach!

Side Effects

Can you expect any adverse side effects from the Performer?

Yes, Performer could make you feel sick if you take the capsules on an empty stomach. This is normal for potent nootropics, but it is still important to warn you about it!

On the other hand, Performer contains no risky or under-researched nootropics, which is quite rare nowadays. There are no dubious synthetic compounds in the stack, no fillers, no GMOs, no colors, etc.

The potential adverse effects of caffeine are well mitigated with Theanine and Lemon Balm.

Overall, this nootropic supplement is safe for supplementing.

STAQ Performer Reviews

During my research, I came across many positive reviews from actual users.

Most people are satisfied with the effects and quality of the product.

Sadly, many complain about poor customer service and long delivery dates. Personally, I had a good experience, but it is important to mention the negative reviews as well.

Overall, STAQ seems a decent brand.

Where To Buy STAQ Performer?

In terms of effects, STAQ Performer positively surprised me. It delivered a smooth energy boost that was combined with a great mood and long attention span.

However, there are things I am not so impressed about – many errors on the homepage, constant changes in pricing, suboptimal customer service…

I see a huge potential in this product, but they need to improve in the mentioned areas if they want to compete with my favorite nootropic supplements.
