Product Name: Neurogum
Product Description: Neurogum is a nootropic energy gum.
Neurogum is the world’s first nootropic sugar-free caffeine gum that contains caffeine, L-theanine, and vitamins B6 & B12. This powerful mix of stimulants and vitamins instantly increases your focus, energy, and reduces stress. But is it a decent substitute for a cup of coffee? Check out my full Neurogum review.
Neurogum delivers benefits of drinking coffee and green tea at the same time
It offers a convenient way to boost your energy immediately
It keeps your breath fresh
The taste of Neurogum is just OK, nothing special
Not as strong as coffee
It was a long and warm sunny day when I first received a package of Neurogum. Since I didn’t consume any caffeine that day, I immediately decided to try it out.
As I always do when experimenting and trying new supplements, I prepared a set of games that would take my focus away and help me unbiasedly review this caffeine gum.
However, just a couple of minutes after I started chewing Neurogum, I got an unexpected Skype call that had to be answered. As you can imagine, I completely forgot that I was chewing Neurogum.
After speaking to a colleague of mine for an hour or so, I finally remembered that the Neurogum was still in my mouth.
And I felt extremely focused and motivated.
Neurogum is a powerful combination of caffeine, L-theanine, vitamins B6 and B12.
It enhances focus, energy, and cognition. It is 100% vegan, sugar-free, and aspartame-free.
Oh, and it leaves your breath fresh.
I believe that this is an excellent invention for millions of people who need a quick energy boost that works within minutes.
Due to the absorption through buccal administration (while chewing), you get an almost instant energy kick.
Now, I’ve first reviewed Neurogum back in 2017, when the company just launched (if I remember correctly).
But I got a new pack of gums in 2019, after they improved them, and redesigned the packages.
What has changed since my first review?
- Besides the Neurogum, they also developed Neuro Mints
- The brand & the package have been redesigned
- Neurogum became very popular
Apart from that, the gum stayed pretty much the same.
Same goes with the taste, which is all right, but nothing special (I prefer the Neuro Mints).
So, is Neurogum worth taking? To answer this, let’s have a look at the benefits.
Benefits Of Neurogum
You know that I never review products I personally don’t use or which don’t deliver positive benefits.
And Neurogum is not an exception.
So, let’s have a look at the main benefits of chewing it:
1. It enhances our memory, alertness, and concentration
An optimal ratio between caffeine and L-theanine works to increase our ability to ignore the distraction and reduce the classic caffeine crash.
To say it differently: You get the benefits of drinking coffee and green tea at the same time.
2. It delivers an instant energy boost
All the ingredients in this caffeine gum are absorbed faster through chewing. This results in increased energy within minutes of chewing and lasts for hours (it depends from person to person, but I felt energized for at least 1 hour).
3. Neurogum is a nootropic that keeps your breath fresh
Imagine you are on your way to a job interview, meeting, or some other appointment. You are running late, you might be a bit tired, and definitely stressed out (which is quite a typical positive correlation, isn’t it?)
Instead of searching for Starbucks, you can simply reach into your pocket, take Neurogum, and voila, you are ready!
Caffeine gum delivers a 2 in 1 solution: A controllable energy boost with fresh breath.
Neurogum Taste And Strength
Before I tried Neurogum for the first time, I said to myself: “Either the taste sucks, or it simply doesn’t work!”
And I was wrong. Twice.
I have to admit that the taste of a regular chewing gum you buy in a grocery store is better.
But I’m sure most of you will find the taste of Neurogum acceptable. Some may even like it.
I find that Neurogum tastes OK. Not delicious but not too bad either. There is definitely some room for improvement.
What about the strength of the caffeine and L-theanine kick?
Ha, well, this is a tricky question.
I find it moderate strong (on a scale from 1-5 I would give it 2 points).
But caffeine gum kicks in faster, it refreshes your breath, and it is “portable.”
Now, can you count all those days when you have no time for a coffee, but chewing gum would help?
Here is the list of all ingredients in Neurogum:
- Blue Spirulina Flakes
- Gum base
- Monk Fruit
- Natural flavors
- Vitamin B6
- Vitamin B12
Are there any serious Neurogum alternatives?
I’m also one of those guys.
And I cannot imagine going for a drink with a friend of mine, who orders coffee and I start chewing gum.
But Neurogum is a perfect substitute when:
- You need a quick energy kick, but there is no coffee or yerba mate available
- You are late, and you want to boost your focus and alertness in no time
- You want to refresh your breath while enhancing your performance
- You want to be the cool person (there is always the “cool guy” option)
There are so many scenarios which you encounter where Neurogum can save your ass.
Since it is portable and basically accessible 24/7 wherever you are, I’m sure its popularity will grow quickly, and the number of users will drastically increase.
In this fast-paced world that we live in, most shortcuts to success don’t work (or even leave damaging consequences).
Neurogum, however, is a shortcut that works, and I see no reason why it would leave any negative consequences.
Speaking of which …
Neurogum Side Effects
During my test period of Neurogum, I’ve experienced no adverse side effects or any issues whatsoever.
I’ve been taking Neurogum since 2017, and I never had any issues.
However, avoid chewing it in the afternoon to prevent insomnia.
I’ve gathered a few reviews of Neurogum users, so you will see what others say about it.
Let’s check them out:
“Good product. I like the flavor. It worked well and didn’t leave me wired or didn’t cause me to crash afterwards
This gum is awesome. Makes me super productive and tastes great for a caffeine based gum. Worth every penny. It’s so much easier than drinking a coffee or a redbulland doesn’t give me the same jitters a normal caffeine supplement would.”
“Neurogum is my favorite. Just received my order 2 days ago and went through my first pack. It tastes great and I have been replacing my coffee with neurogum. Won’t stain my teeth and I get the energy to get work done. Glad I don’t have to stop at Starbucks all the time. I am a fan, glad Amazon had something like this”
