Dopamine Brain Food supplement is a brain supplement that contains valuable precursors for peak dopamine metabolism. But does it work? Check out my full Dopamine Brain Food Review.

Overview

When I first came across dopamine supplements, I was a bit skeptical at first.

Yes, dopamine is an important neurotransmitter in our body that is often related to love, lust, motivation, gambling, and even addiction. But I wasn’t sure how effective a supplement could be.

Then I came across Dopamine Brain Food by Natural Stacks. Dopamine Brain Food is a nootropic supplement that was developed to:

  • Enhance focus and attention
  • Boost mental clarity and Reduce brain fog
  • Help with physical performance

It supports the body’s natural production of dopamine.

Let’s check the ingredients to see if this nootropic supplement is effective.

Ingredients

Dopamine Brain Food,  a nootropic stack made from natural ingredients, may deliver improved focus, concentration, and attention to people. It is designed to support the body’s natural production of dopamine. But how exactly?

Here is the list of all ingredients of the supplement:

  • 500 mg Vitamin C
  • 5 mg Vitamin B6
  • 1 mg Folate
  • 4 mg Vitamin B12
  • 650 mg L-Tyrosine
  • 600 mg TMG (trimethylglycine)
  • 500 mg L-Phenylalanine

L-Phenylalanine

L-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid. The primary use of L-phenylalanine in the body is in the production of tyrosine, another amino acid. Tyrosine is the precursor of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. [*]

Given the importance of these brain chemicals, phenylalanine is important to maintain adequate levels of monoamine neurotransmitters in the brain.

When L-phenylalanine crosses into the brain, it is converted to L-tyrosine and then to L-dopa, which is further converted into the three neurotransmitters mentioned above.

L-Tyrosine

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that produces two important neurotransmitters – dopamine and noradrenaline. [*] [*] Supplementing L-Tyrosine improves cognitive performance in healthy adults [*]. It also improves performance when people are under stress. [*]

Folate, Vitamin B12, And TMG

Folate, Vitamin B12, and trimethylglycine (TMG) are added to support the methylation process and aid in the generation of S-adenosyl methionine (SAM-E).

SAM-E is an amino acid that also plays an important role in the methylation process by helping to convert norepinephrine to epinephrine for use in attention-based activities. Methylation is a vitally important process that occurs throughout the body.

This process allows metabolic reactions to be carried out effectively and undisturbed.

Vitamin B6 And Vitamin C

These vitamins play a vital role in the optimal production of dopamine. Vitamin B6 helps convert L-Dopa into dopamine, and Vitamin C helps convert dopamine into norepinephrine, which is important for increasing alertness and attention. [*]

Each of these also has significant antioxidant properties that protect cells from damage during the production and metabolism of dopamine.

So, after my research of the ingredients, I decided to try Dopamine Brain Food.

My Experience

Here’s the thing – since Dopamine Brain Food contains mainly amino acids with a few vitamins, it is hard to expect any noticeable effects.

I anyway decided to test it, but I sadly didn’t feel any effects during my test.

There are 60 capsules in a bottle. I was taking 3 capsules per day in the morning without food (as suggested). After a week of use, nothing really happened.

Sure, some people report feeling more alert and focused, and others feel a boost in their energy and are more motivated, but that didn’t happen.

One possible explanation is that I already eat more or less an optimal diet (and I biohacked my sleep, control my stress, etc.), so the dopamine levels and other neurotransmitters should be more or less optimal.

Hence, a dopamine supplement doesn’t do much.

On the other hand, I can imagine that if you have a bad lifestyle, a supplement like Dopamine Brain Food can be quite effective. However, in this case, I recommend optimizing your lifestyle first because it will have a much bigger effect on your well-being than taking a brain supplement.

Dosage

The suggested use is taking 2 to 3 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach.

According to Natural Stacks, not more than three capsules per day are recommended. They also recommend consulting your doctor before taking the supplement.

Based on my research, 3 capsules per day is an optimal dosage.

Just be aware that if you are taking additional supplements separately (like a multivitamin, for example), you need to stay within the safe and recommended daily doses of each vitamin.

Side Effects

During my review period, I experienced no adverse side effects. Based on my research and experience, Dopamine Brain Food is a safe supplement.

However, before supplementing it, do consult your doctor.

Dopamine VS Adderall

Some people wonder how Dopamine Brain Food compares to Adderall. Honestly, I believe it’s impossible to compare both products. While Dopamine Brain Food is a nootropic supplement, Adderall is a smart drug used for treating ADHD.

Effects of Adderall are much different, you need a prescription for it, and we don’t know the long-term use side effects.

So I would avoid taking Adderall if it is not prescribed to you by a doctor or check Adderall alternatives

Users Feedback

Natural Stacks (the brand that developed the Dopamine Brain Food supplement) has a great reputation for its research and quality. They claimed that Dopamine Brain Food is a safe and natural brain support but the product itself isn’t any special.

Anyway, here are a few reviews that I found during my research:

“I would probably get killed for posting this but since my wife started taking this supplement her mood as completely changed. Instead of coming home from work all stressed and anxious. She is now calm and cool! Thank you Natural Stacks for bringing back the women I fell in Love with years ago.”

Verdict

Your Inception does not recommend supplementing Dopamine Brain Food. We didn’t get any special results during our test of Dopamine Brain Food (even we combined it with Ciltep).

Sadly, there are much better and more effective supplements on the market. While we still believe Dopamine Brain Food works just fine, you can definitely get better nootropic supplements.
