When I first saw that there are dopamine supplements on the market, I was a bit skeptical at first.
I know dopamine is a neurotransmitter in our body that is often related to love, lust, motivation, gambling, and even addiction.

I was taking it for about a week without any other supplements, and then I combined it with CILTEP, the famous brain nootropic from the same company.
Let me tell you what happened.
TEST WEEK 1 (no added additional supplements)
I was taking 3 capsules of Dopamine Brain Food in the morning on an empty stomach. Since I didn’t expect too much from this product, I didn’t put too much focus on it.
What was funny, though, was the fact that that I was able to feel some additional push or subtle motivation that helped me while working on my daily tasks.
Besides, taking this supplement definitely removed my brain fog. While I didn’t notice this during my test period, I saw it as soon as I stopped taking it.
I felt much more tired and unfocused without Dopamine Brain Food.
Week 2 (with added CILTEP)
Since I like to experiment, I started combining Dopamine Brain Food with CILTEP (here you can read my complete review).
To be completely honest, it’s challenging to say I felt a dramatic difference. But one thing for sure, my focus increased. Working on my daily tasks felt easier, and I also noticed that I got less distracted during this week.
To sum it up, I was in a good mood, I was very focused and motivated to achieve my daily goals. I had no brain fog, and there were no side-effects whatsoever.
It was not the best experience of my life, but it wasn’t bad either.

L-Phenylalanine, 500 mg
The primary use of L-phenylalanine in the body is in the production of tyrosine, another amino acid. Tyrosine is the precursor of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.
Given the importance of these brain chemicals, phenylalanine is important to maintain adequate levels of monoamine neurotransmitters in the brain.
When L-phenylalanine crosses into the brain, it is converted to L-tyrosine and then to L-dopa which is further converted into the three neurotransmitters mentioned above. 
L-Tyrosine, 650 mg
L-Tyrosine is as mentioned above, an amino acid that is used to produce noradrenaline and dopamine. Supplemental appears to be anti-stress for acute stressors and may preserve stress-induced memory deficits. 
Folate, 1 mg & Vitamin B12, 5 mg & TMG, 750 mg
Folate, Vitamin B12, and trimethylglycine (TMG) are added to lend support to the methylation process and to aid in the generation of S-adenosyl methionine (SAM-E).
SAM-E is an amino acid that also plays an important role in the methylation process by helping to convert norepinephrine to epinephrine for use in attention-based activities. Methylation is a vitally important process that occurs throughout the body.
This process allows metabolic reactions to be carried out effectively and undisturbed. 
Vitamin B6, 5 mg & Vitamin C, 500 mg
These vitamins play a vital role in the optimal production of dopamine. Vitamin B6 helps convert L-Dopa into dopamine, and Vitamin C helps convert dopamine into norepinephrine, which is important for increasing alertness and attention.
Each of these also has important antioxidant properties that protect cells from damage during the production and metabolism of dopamine. 
Dopamine Brain Food Dosage
The suggested use is taking 2 to 3 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach.
According to Natural Stacks, not more than three capsules per day are recommended. They also recommend consulting your doctor before taking the supplement.
Just to be on the safe side.
Now, at the beginning of my test period, I started with two capsules per day and then decided to take the third as well.
And that’s what I’d recommend to you.
Just be aware that if you are taking additional supplements separately (like a multivitamin, for example) to stay within the safe and recommended daily doses of each ingredient.
